Coil resistance wire

Heaters, ovens, and electronic cigarettes and so on. This wire is a critical part of these machines because it prepares them to perform their function properly and efficiently.

Now, what is so great about coil resistance wire? It is created from stuff that makes it harder for electricity to flow. This means it gets hot when electricity flows through the wire! This phenomenon is known as resistance, and it's the reason coil resistance wire can heat effectively. The heat generated is critical for the operation of devices that utilize this wire.

How to Choose the Right Gauge for Your Coil Resistance Wire

Kanthal Wire — Kanthal Wire is the most common type of coil resistance wire you will see. It has a blend of iron, chromium, and aluminum that make it extremely strong and rust-resistant. Wires like these don't break so easily and last for a long time regardless of how many times you use them. Kanthal wire handles very easily as well, making it a good advantage for those who have just started coil building. But it can be a little pricey, not to mention, it doesn't do a great job with low-temperature heating applications.

Nichrome Wire: A nichrome wire is other popular kind of coil resistance wire. Nichrome wire is made of nickel and chromium as opposed to Kanthal wire. This wire type is effective in creating high temperatures, which would make it suitable for devices that need a considerable amount of heat. On the downside, it is not as durable as Kanthal wire so will not last as many cycles under heavy use. It can also be slightly more difficult to work with making it more suitable for more advanced users with coil building experience.
